Privacy policy

This policy describes what personal data this website processes, why, and what your rights are. Raining Code Technologies AG, at the address above, is the data controller. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect, and why

Visiting the site. Our hosting infrastructure (Amazon Web Services: S3 and CloudFront) processes technical access data — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — as server logs, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage; Google may set cookies and process usage data on our behalf. You can prevent this with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on.

The business-case builder. If you use the tool at /business-case and submit the form, we process the inputs you typed and your email address to generate and send you the result, on the basis of your consent given at submission. If you opt in to essay updates, we use your email for that purpose until you unsubscribe. Submissions are stored on Google infrastructure (Google Workspace) on our behalf.

Scheduling a call. The "Schedule a call" buttons lead to Calendly, an external scheduling service with its own privacy policy. We receive the details you enter there (name, email, meeting notes) to prepare for and conduct the conversation.

Email. If you write to us, we process your message and contact details to respond and to manage the business relationship that may follow.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not use the data you submit to train AI models. We collect nothing beyond what the purposes above require.

Retention and transfers

We keep personal data only as long as the purpose requires or the law obliges us to. Some of the processors named above (AWS, Google, Calendly) process data outside Switzerland and the EEA; where they do, transfers rest on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to info@rainingcode.io. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, under the GDPR, with your local supervisory authority.
